LEGAL NOTICE

On Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. prevailing time, the Phoenixville Borough Council will consider an Ordinance to amend the Code of the Borough of Phoenixville:

An Ordinance Amending the Code of Ordinances of the Borough of Phoenixville for the Purpose of Repealing the Current Chapter 25 “Trees” in Order to Enact an Updated Chapter 25 “Trees.”

Due to the requirement of social distancing, public participation at these meetings will occur through remote connections, via computer, tablet, smartphone or phone in supplement to in-person.  Telecommunications participation will allow any member of the public to indicate they would like to speak and offer comment during the public comment portion of the meetings. Residents and taxpayers who wish to participate or listen to the meeting may call-in or log-in.  Directions for connection to and participation in the meetings will be published on the Borough’s publicly accessible website at www.phoenixville.org.   

A complete copy of the proposed ordinance amendment is posted on the Borough’s website at.  http://www.phoenixville.org/government/91. The proposed ordinance amendment may be examined at Phoenixville Borough Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.  Copies are also on file at the Chester County Law Library, 201 West Market Street, Suite 2400, West Chester and The Mercury at 24 North Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA.

LEGAL NOTICE

On Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. prevailing time, the Phoenixville Borough Council,  available via telecommunication/virtual participation in accordance with the instructions below, will consider and could vote on an ordinance entitled “Local Tax Collection Law Ordinance” amending the Codified Ordinances of the Borough of Phoenixville, Chapter 24 (Taxation, Special) to add a new Part 7 entitled “Real Estate Taxes” in order to direct the Borough tax collector to comply with Pennsylvania 2022 Act 57 amendments to the collection of real estate taxes pursuant to the Local Tax Collection Law.

Copies of the proposed ordinances may be obtained in the office of the Borough Manager for a charge not greater than the cost thereof.
