Chen Tai chi

Chen style Tai Chi was created by the Chen family of Henan Province, China, over six hundred years ago. It is an internal martial art that promotes health and longevity, along with self defense. Chen Tai Chi can be fast or slow, offensive or defensive, neutralizing or overpowering. Abdominal breathing is used in Tai Chi to help focus the mind and cultivate Chi (energy). Other health benefits include decreased stress and anxiety, improved flexibility, balance, agility, and increased energy and stamina.

In this class, the first form of Chen Tai Chi will be taught, along with standing meditation. Adam Sharp is a Chester County native and first began studying martial arts over 20 years ago. Adam is a student of Sifu James McNeil and a member of the Little Nine Heaven Internal KungFu School. Currently his practice includes various Chinese martial arts and teaching Chen Tai Chi throughout Pennsylvania.
