[ARCHIVED] 2024 Dogwood Parade & 150th Anniversary of the Phoenixville Fire Department

The 2024 Dogwood Parade and Phoenixville Fire Departments celebration of the 150th anniversary will begin at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 18th.

The parade route will start in the area of the Phoenixville Fire Department on Paradise Street and continue to the end at Main Street and Fifth Avenue. The public is asked to avoid Paradise Street between Center Street and Smithworks Boulevard from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. as there will be a high volume of emergency vehicles and other parade vehicles being staged in the area. Smithworks Boulevard in the Steelpointe neighborhood will also have lane restrictions during the parade that begins at 1:00 p.m.

Steelpointe Residents: 

On May 18th 2024 the outbound lane to Main Street in Steelpointe, will be temporarily closed from 12:30PM to 2:30PM for the Dogwood Parade.  The parade is projected to take approximately two hours for all floats and vehicles to exit Smithworks Blvd. onto Main Street.  Any residents that have to exit within the time frame of 12:30PM to 2:30PM must exit through the inbound lane from Main Street and can only make a left hand turn onto Main Street to the North side of town.   Between 12:30PM and 2:30PM there will be no access into Steelpointe for residents until the last vehicle in the parade exits onto Main Street.  Residents will not have access to enter onto Paradise Street the day of the parade, they must enter through Smithworks Blvd from Main Street.  Any residents that need to enter into Steelpointe must enter from Main Street to Smithworks Blvd before 12:30PM or after 2:30PM.  

Emergency Vehicles will have access to the inbound lane from Main Street the whole duration of the parade in case of an emergency.
