Public Works

  • Leaf collection ends December 31st; if residents still have bags of leaves after 12/31, they can bring bagged leaves to the compost site (18 S. 2nd Ave). Compost site hours are Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm
  • Christmas tree disposal runs through March 1, 2024, and is for live trees only. Trees must be free of all objects, and cannot be in a stand or base. For curbside pickup, please leave tree outside on regular trash pickup day
Parks and Recreation

PARKS & RECREATION

On Saturday, January 6, 2024, the Recreation Center is offering Safesitter, which is a program designed to prepare students to be safe when they are home alone, watching siblings, or babysitting. This instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students will practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR on a mannequin.

POLICE

Applications are now being accepted for part-time School Crossing Guards. You can be an important member of a successful team of individuals committed to the safety of school children in your community. School Crossing Guards work approximately 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during the regular school year at designated locations in the Borough assisting elementary, middle, and high school students.
